In this day and age, more and more things are giving you a self-service option. Shops, cellphone companies, and more are giving you the option to do things yourself and manage your activity yourself. So why not education? Well, thanks to the ICB Learner Portal you are now able to do just that.  The ICB Learner Portal lets you manage your studies yourself but first, you need to be a registered ICB student. Fortunately, the portal lets you take care of that too.

Registering as an ICB Student on the ICB Learner Portal

Even this is something you can do by yourself. So let’s look at how to register as an ICB student.

Step 1

Go to the ICB Learner Portal website.

 

Step 2

Click on the “Register” button

 

Step 3

Select “No” under the “Are you already registered with ICB?” heading. Next, you will need to choose your username. It is best to use your name here as it is easier to remember. Once you have chosen your username, choose your password. Make sure that it is something you will remember. You also need to make sure you write or spell it correctly.

Once you have chosen a username and a password you will need to type in your email address. You will also need to select whether you have a South African ID or a foreign ID. Below this, you will need to fill in your 13 digit ID number.  After you have done this you can click the “Register” button at the bottom of the panel.

The ICB Reference number is only for students who already are ICB students so you do not need to fill this in.

 

Step 4

The next few pages are where you will fill in your personal details. On the first page, you will need to choose your title, for example, Mr or Mrs. You will also need to fill in your name and surname. You can fill in your middle name but this is not needed. During the registration, you only need to fill in the areas marked with a red asterisk (*). Any information not marked with an asterisk is optional.

On the next page, you will need to fill in more personal details. You will fill in your cellphone number, telephone number, and fax number. Don’t worry if you don’t have some of these numbers as this part is optional. The next part, however, you have to fill out. You will need to fill in your physical address, postal address and your billing information. Luckily, the ICB has made this easy. If your postal address is the same as your physical address you can just check the box and it will fill in all the same information for you. The same goes for if your billing address is the same as your postal address.

Once you have completed all the information you can go to the next page.

 

Step 5

The next page needs you to fill in your date of birth, your gender, and your equity. Your equity is whether you are black, white, disabled, and so on.  When you have selected everything you can move on.

 

Step 6

Here you will need to fill in some demographic information. You need to fill in your language, your residency, your disability if you have, one and your socio-economic status. Other details you need to fill in are the highest level of education that you have, which city and area you matriculated in, your postal code, and your municipality. Some of this information is optional but make sure that you have filled in all the needed information. Once you have completed this you can move on the final step.

 

Step 7

On this page, you simply need to confirm that all the information you have given is accurate and correct. Finally, hit the “Submit” button. That’s it! You’re a registered ICB student.

You will be taken back to the sign in page. Log in and you will be taken to the home page of the portal. From there you can register for ICB courses, check your exam results, schedule your exams, and even pay your fees. The ICB registration process has never been this easy!
